Pick of the Week at The House That Stamps Built
Hello Friends!
Today I am very happy and honored to be the Guest Designer over on The House That Stamps Built for the "Pick of the Week" post. I will be showing you how to combine stamping, dry embossing and die cutting together in one card.
I started making my card by stamping the gorgeous stamp from the Beautiful Days Collection called Waterlilies & Dragonfly onto Neenah Solar White paper with black ink.
I also stamped the Dragonfly Deco stamped onto the paper with black ink.
I got some extra ink on the paper, but I plan on fussy cutting out the images so my boo boo will not be seen on my card.
I colored in the images with Copic markers.
I started by coloring in the waterlilies.
I colored in the dragonflies.
I colored in the background water.
I applied some Moonstone Spectrum Sparkle pen to the dragonflies to add some sparkle to the wings.
I fussy cut out both images. I took some Black Shimmer paper and a stitched circle die and cut out the circle.
I glued the Waterlilies & dragonfly to the black circle. I then took some gray paper, a pebbles embossing folder and ran that thru my Vagabond and then I used some Weathered Wood distress ink and rubbed that on top of the embossing to make a patio around the pond.
I added the embossed and inked panel to a A2 white card base and then I added the lily pond on the black shimmer paper to the card. I took some green paper and cut out the hello die.
I added the green hello and the fussy cut Dragonfly Deco image to the card. This is what my card looks when I finished it.
I love the way this turned out! When I saw this stamp it reminded me of a park my daughter and I visited where they had a koi pond in the middle of the park and it was filled with waterlilies, dragonflies and koi fish! Such a relaxing place to visit!
