"It's A Girl Thing" Turner Syndrome Awareness 3rd Annual Blog Hop & Challenge

Hello Blogging Friends!!

My daughter, Julie, was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome at 6 weeks of age.  She is 33 years old now and I am amazed at how few people are aware of Turner Syndrome!  I have made it my mission to bring as much awareness of TS to as many people as I can!  I am a board member for the Turner Syndrome Foundation here in NJ and I volunteer on the TSF Awareness Committee!  I am hoping with more awareness we can get the medical field to do some much needed research on how TS affects females through their lifetime.

Here is a picture of Julie and Me at the "Take A Step for TS" back in October 2020.

Julie is the happiest and kindest person I know!  She is my hero!  She never had a bad word to say about anyone.  She has many specialist that she sees, but she loves going to the doctors!  All her doctors love her!  Actually anyone who meets Julie falls in love with her!

I am very fortunate that the Crafting Community is such a generous community and that so many Companies and Card Designers have joined me to spread awareness!!  Please shop at the Sponsors stores and please leave some love on the awesome Card Designers Blogs!!

Twenty~three Caring and Generous Sponsors are helping bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public!  To win one of the Sponsor prizes you have to make a card that is feminine and has an uplifting or encouraging message, write a post on your blog about it including details on how you made the card and the products used.  Your blog post has to link back to the original My Turner Syndrome Journey Blog here:  https://myturnersyndromejourney.blogspot.com/

The winners will be announced on that same blog on Saturday, March 13th, 2021.

Hugs

Hello Blogging Friends!

It is my turn today on the Dies R Us Blog and I have this fun Valentine's Day card or you could send it to someone who just needs a hug.

For this A2 card I started with White card stock for the base of the card.  I took a piece of patterned paper, inked the edges with Spun Sugar distress ink and added that to the base of the card.

I took some Pink patterned paper and the Elizabeth Lace Heart die and cut out the heart and added it to the card.  I took some leftover watercolor paper that I had blended some distress oxides on and the Cheapo Dies Butterfly die and cut out the butterfly and added it to the card.  I took the no longer available Die-Versions Curly Hugs word die and some more of the Pink patterned paper and cut out hugs and added it to the top of the card.  Instead you could use the Impression Obsession Hugs die, the Tutti Designs Hugs word dies, the Poppystamps Luscious Script hugs die or even the Lawn Fawn Scripty Hugs die to make this card.  I attached hugs on the card over the Lace Heart.

Thanks for stopping by!
