Double Trouble Challenge #176 ~ Crazy Cousin Guest Designer

 Hello Friends!!

I am back today as Guest Designer ~ aka Crazy Cousing for the Double Trouble Blog Challenge for the month of Septemeber.  Today is the start of the Double Trouble Challenge #176 ~ One Week Challenge from Monday, September 30th thru Sunday, October 6th.

'

Let The Trouble Begin!

"SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing"

Full details of all the "Things" and inspiration from the Design Team can be found over on the Double Trouble Blog, where you can also link up your entries.

Here is a quick recap:

Thing One:  Trouble Maker

says, "It's time again to grab your bone folder and other crafty stuff and create something new.  We think this is easier than folding a fitted sheet!  It's time to use stuff you have in your stash (new and/or old) for our one-week special of SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing (aka Any Thing Goes)"

You can stop here...
OR, you can choose to include Twisted Sister's Optional Fun Twist below to earn an additional chance in our random drawing.

Thing 3:  Twisted Sister

Says, "Hey Monday, September 30th is National Mud Pack Day...let's celebrate!  And who takes a mud celebration most seriously??  Before you go rolling in a mud puddle, ask yourself,  'What makes a pig in the mud as happy as...well, a pig in the mud?'

"My optional twist is to include a pig(s) in your project with or without mud...Or,if you don't have a piggy, you can instead choode to combine both browns and pinks in your project.  It's your choice.  OR, Use both a pig and the colors to qualify for two chances in the random drawing."

Thing 2:  Double Dare

says, "I dare you to mulitpy the fun by linking your project with any previous partner(s) listed below.  You will qualify for extra chances in our random drawing.

I am loving this Pigs in the Mud theme so much that I went and made two cards for this challenge!  I just couldn't help myself!

So here are my 2 cards for Double Trouble Challenge #176:

Ingredients:

Pig in Tutu stamp from a magazine
Nested dies
White card stock
Neenah Solar White paper
Tan paper
Coral paper
Copic markers
 Black ink
Brown sticker letters

For this card I made the base with a piece of White card stock.  I took a piece of Tan paper, inked the edges with Brushed Corduroy distress oxided and added it to the base of the card.  I took a piece of Neenah Solar White paper, the Pig stamp and some Black ink and stamped her onto the paper.  I colored her in with Copic markers and than cut her out with a Nesting die and inked the edges with Saltwater Taffy distress oxide and added it to the card.  I took the Brown sticker letters and spelled out Got Mud? on the bottom of the card.

Here is my second card for Double Trouble Challenge #176:

Ingredients:

Impression Obsession Pig stamp by Dina Kowal
White card stock
Tan paper
Neenah Solar White paper
Nesting die
Black ink
Copic markers
Impression Obsession Hogs and Kisses stamp

For this 4 1/2 square card I started by making the base of the card with White card stock.  I took a piece of Tan paper, inked the edges with Brushed Corduroy distress oxide and added it to the card base.  I took a piece of Neenah Solar White paper, some Black ink and the Pig stamp and stamped that onto the paper.  I colored it in with Copic markers and cut it out with a Nesting die and added it to the card.

Now it is your turn to create something and enter it into the Double Trouble Challenge #176.  We can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Cute piglet images and fun sentiments. Love the ballerina being so graceful and not wanting to get her outfit muddied. And nice job of using both of Twisted Sister's options. You might want to include in your post and share one of your cards with The Crafter's cafe, link is in our post. Thank you again for being our Crazy Cousin for the month of September, and please come back and join us for future fun challenges at Double Trouble to see what Thing 1, 2 and 3 are up to next.
