Hello Blogging Friends!!
Happy National Superhero Day! Welcome to another 'Yes, It Is A Holiday' collaboration post with Michael @worldofmichaeltrent and myself, Debra @djdavison814 is sitting this one out.
Marvel Comics' employees created National Superhero Day on April 28, 1995 to celebrate everyone's favorite superhero. This is for superheroes only ~ we all know villains aren't deserving of their own day! The idea behind superhero day is to honor those who serve and protect while fighting evil. No matter who your favorite hero is, honoring the real or fictional people that inspire us is a worthwhile cause today!
Here is my card for National Superhero Day:
Close To My Heart Super Girl Day to Day stamp set (retired)
Black ink
Neenah Solar White paper
Red Shimmer paper
Blue card stock
Copic markers
Yellow marker
For this A2 card I started by making the card base with Blue card stock. I took a piece of Neenah Solar White paper, the Close To My Heart Super Girl stamp and some Black ink and stamped that onto the paper and colored it in with Copic makers. I took a piece of Red Shimmer paper and the Whimsy Stamps Comic Burst die and cut that out and added it to the Neenah Solar White paper. I colored in the cut outs with a Yellow marker. I cut out the bubble with more white paper, stamped the sentiment from the Super Girl stamps set, colored in super with a Red copic marker, put some foam squares on the back and added that to the card.
Adorable card, this is the first I heard of this Holiday, thank you, I love any holiday, hugs, Lori m
