2 Crafty Critter Crazies October Challenge

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Happy October 1st!  I don't know about you, but I love October with all the fun Halloween decorations!  Today is also the start of the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies October Challenge which is also the #31st Challenge!  Isn't that funny??  We couldn't have planned it any better!

2 Crafty Critter Crazies October Challenge #31

This month our sponsor is:

Beccy's Place

For my card I chose the Stanley Pumpkin digital stamp!

Here is my card:

Ingredients:

Poppystamps Spider Web Border die
Kraft card stock
Burlap paper
Neenah Solar White paper
Orange paper
Green paper
Brown paper
White glitter paper
Halloween sentiment stamp
Black ink
Copic markers

For this 6 inch by 6 inch card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of this card.  I took some Burlap look paper and added that to the card base. I took a piece of Neenah Solar White paper and printed Stanley Pumpkin digi stamp onto the paper.  I colored it in with Copic markers and then I fussy cut him out.  I took some Orange paper and the Cottage Cutz Pumpkins & Vine die and cut out them out, I inked the edges with Black ink and added them to the base of the card.  I took some Green paper and cut out the vines and leaves and added them to the pumpkins on the cards.  I took some brown scrap paper and cut out the pumpkin stems and added them to the pumpkins on the card.  I then took Stanley Pumpkin and added him to the card.  I took some white glitter paper and the Poppystamps Spider Web Border die and cut that out and added it to the top of the card.  I took some black ink and stamped the sentiment onto the card.  I love the way this card turned out!

Now hop on over to the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies October Challenge to see what the Design Team have created for this challenge.

  5. Lori, your Stanley Bear is so cute, and those colors are AH-MAZ-ZING! When I first saw that image, it reminded me of the "comics" from the 1930s era Depression, where they showed people wearing barrels because they didn't have clothes. I saw Stanley in his pumpkin outfit, and realized how much prettier his pumpkin is, and if he gets hungry, he can just take a bite of pumpkin! Your card is fabulous! thanks for sharing your design process, too. love, de

  6. The bear in a barrel is too cute, and even more cute that it is a pumpkin. The bear in the pumpkin patch would be ideal for Thanksgiving. You went the extra step to add the sentiment and cob webs to make it Halloween. Clever card.

  7. What a super cute Halloween card... you've done a great job putting it all together Lori. I love the addition of the die cut spider webs and pumpkins in the background, and the burlap paper was the perfect choice. Fabulous!
