Hello Blogging Friends!!
I have some sad news today, this will be my last post as part of the DL.ART Design Team. Life has just gotten too busy for Diana to try to keep up with the Design Team work load. She will continue to have challenges, as a matter of fact her next one is the DL.ART September Linky Challenge and that will go live on September 1st. I hope you will still participate in her wonderful challenges.
Today is the start of the DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY CHALLENGE #234 ~ SUMMER.
I have enjoyed my time as part of this wonderful Design Team! Diana's ribbons are gorgeous and I love them!! Thank you for all your comments and for participating in the DL.ART CHALLENGES!!
Here is my card for this challenge:
Ingredients:
DL.ART Aruba Blue crinkle ribbon from the Tropical Summer Bundle
Gina Marie Designs Mermaid die
Gina Marie Designs Seaweed die
Gina Marie Designs Starfish die
Gina Marie Designs Fan Coral die
Impression Obsession You're Mermazing die
Kraft card stock
Neenah Solar White paper
Faber-Castell Blue & Green Gelatos
Iridescent paper
White glitter paper
Assorted papers from my stash
Copic markes
Versamark
Emerald Creek Fractured Ice embossing crystals
For this 6 x 6 inch card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of the card. I took a piece of Neenah Solar White paper and some blue and green gelatos and rubbed them all of over the paper, I dipped my finger in some water and smoothed out the colors and then added the paper to the base of the card. I took some more of the Neenah Solar White paper and cut out the mermaid with the Gina Marie Designs Mermaid die. I colored her body and here hair with Copic markers. I cut out the iridescent paper with the Mermaid die and added that to the mermaids body. I cut out assorted papers with the Gina Marie Seaweed die and the Fan Coral die and added them to the card. I added the mermaid to the card. I cut out the Gina Marie Designs Starfish die and put Versamark all over it and then heat embossed it with Emerald Creek Fractured Ice embossing crystals and when it was dry I added that to the card. I took the white glitter paper and the Impression Obsession You're Mermazing die and cut out the sentiment and added it to the card. I took some DL.ART Aruba Blue crinkle ribbon from the Tropical Summer Bundle and glued that to the top of the card, then I took some more of the same ribbon and made a bow and added that to the card. I love the way this card turned out!
