Hello Blogging Friends,

Today is the start of the Joy Clair December and January Challenge!!

The theme for this challenge is:  Make it Pop up/Dimension

Here is the Inspiration Photo:

Ingredients:

White cardstock
Watercolor paper
Assorted paper from my stash
Black ink
Copic markers

For this A2 Pop-Up card I started by decorating the front of the card. I took the Joy Clair Ugly Sweater Background stamp set and stamped the Merry Christmas across the card 3 times.  I then took some green paper and the Sizzix Alterations Tree Line die and cut that out and added that to the bottom of the card front.  I stamped the dog house from the Joy Clair Dog Gone Christmas stamp set with black ink onto some watercolor paper, colored it in with Copic markers and then fussy cut it out and added it to the front of the card.

For this A2 Pop-Up on the inside of the card I started by stamping the dogs from the Dog Gone Christmas stamp set onto Watercolor paper with black ink, colored them in with Copic markers and then fussy cut them out. I took some thick white paper and the Sizzix Zig Zag die and cut that out and added it to the inside of the card.  I took some more green paper and cut out the Tree Line die again and added that to the card.  I stamped the Dog Gone Christmas dog house with black ink onto some watercolor paper and colored it in with Copic markers, fussy cut it out and then added that to the inside of the card.    I took the dogs and added them to the pop ups.  I stamped the sentiment with black ink onto the top of the inside of the card.

  1. LOL! I saw the little puppy "howling" and could not help but think of the Harry Potter movie where Hermoine distracts the werewolf with her "ahh-oooooooo" impression. LOL Sometimes, when hubby is off doing the errands, our German Shepherd is so distraught that he will throw a temper tantrum with a mixture of a yowl and a cry "woooooooooo! woo woo wooooooooo!" LOL Maybe that little doggy is doing the same in the cute stamp set? LOL Guess maybe I should move on from the stamp set to your amazing scene! I love that you made it be a pop up card on the inside with an entirely different scene, and gorgeous, rich coloring! And the front of the card is definitely festive and beautifully done with the knit background and prettily decorated doggy home! I wouldn't have thought to put the pine trees in the background - OH SO PRETTY, Lori! Hoping Julie is feeling better, and that things will calm down a little, too. love, de
