Hello Blogging Friends,

Today is the start of the Joy Clair March Challenge

and theme for this challenge is  Spring has Sprung!

Here is the March Challenge Photo to help inspire you!

I love Spring when everything starts growing and blooming again!  When the birds, bees and butterflies start floating around in my yard and make me smile!  So I decided to create my card using the beautiful Joy Clair Butterfly Kisses stamp set for my card!

Here is my card for the challenge:

Ingredients:

Kraft card stock
White watercolor paper
Copic markers
Black ink
Tumbled Glass distress ink
Stormy Sky distress ink

For this A2 card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of the card.  I took a piece of watercolor paper and I stamped the butterflies from the Joy Clair Butterfly Kisses stamp set and stamped them with black ink.  I colored the butterflies in with assorted Copic markers.  Then I took my blending tool and Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky distress inks and applied them to the background.  I took the sentiment form the stamp set and stamped it with black ink.  I inked the edges of the watercolor paper with the Stormy Sky distress ink and then glued that down onto the kraft card stock.

  1. Oh this butterflies set is so gorgeous Lori! I'm always in search of beautiful graceful butterflies stamps and dies for my baby cards project for the Heart Center. Thanks for sharing this one! I absolutely how you lay the single large butterfly below the flight of butterflies. Such a gorgeous layout. I hope your week has been kind to you so far and perhaps sunshine in your part of town. We're having gloomy, cold and rainy days. Take care Lori. Hugs.
