Chickadee Card

Hello Peeps,

Every month Our Daily Bread Designs hosts a challenge for Operation Write Home.  If they get 50 or more cards linked up to the challenge by the end of that month, they will sponsor the shipping of two boxes of cards for our deployed heroes.  Thanks to ODBD for providing a fun way to help get cards mailed to our troops so they can stay in touch with their loved ones back home!

The theme for the ODBD February Challenge is Animals.  I used a stamp that I won from Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge several months back, it's called Chickadee and here is my card:

For this A2 card I started with brown card stock for the base of the card and then I added a piece of Graphic 45 paper with a piece of blue & brown stripe ribbon wrapped around it.  Next I stamped the Chickadee stamp onto white paper and colored it in with Copic markers.  Then I took some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and colored the background blue and then I used one of my older Spellbinders Nestabilities dies and cut it out and inked the edges with brown ink and then I stamped the sentiment with brown ink too.  I love watching the little chickadees in my yard, and I love all the chatter that they make!

Please be sure to check out the other great cards made for this challenge here and feel free to leave the creators some love!  Who doesn't like to read what you thought of their card!!

Thanks for stopping by!
Lori
