Sending Some Hugs & Kisses

Hello Everybody,

I hope everyone survived the "Black Friday Weekend"!!  I didn't go near any stores this weekend!  Too crazy for me!  Today I am going to share with you a card that I made for the Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #201.  I am not very good at following sketches, but I decided to challenge myself today to see what kind of card I would come up with.  Here is my card I made with this skectch.

From now until the end of December OWH is accepting Valentine's Day cards.  I figured this card could be used as a Valentine's Day card or as a Missing You card or even a Love You card.  My version doesn't match the Sketch exactly, but it's close enough.  I guess I didn't color within the lines when I was in Kindergarten!

Thanks for stopping by!  Please leave some love for me in the comments section!

Happy Crafting!

Lori

  1. Hi Lori- I love your card and I use sketches for inspiration- sometimes I follow them exactly- sometimes I think they end up nothing like the original!!! I am glad you accepted the challenge- your card is so pretty! I love the sentiment and your papers!

    1. Hi Donna! I think the card sketches are easier to follow then the scrapbooking ones that I have tried, I can never get my pictures and papers to match. I enjoyed trying it and I am going to try more! Thanks for your kind words!

  4. Lovely! Lots of visual interest with the various patterns, but it's not too busy. Great contrast with the black vertical piece. Will make a great Valentine.

  5. This is so pretty. Besides, it wouldn't be your own version if you followed the sketch exactly - you have to tweak it a little.
