Seas the Day

 Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing a card I made for Amy Tsuruta's Woodblock Wednesday Challenge for August.

Here is my card:

Ingredients:

Stampin' Up Fishy Friends stamps
Waffle Flower Nesting Postages dies
Whimsy Stamps Sprinkles Scallops dies
Stampin' Up Soft Waves embossing Folder
Newton's Nook Tranquil Tides stamps
White paper
Aqua Blue paper
Black Ink
Copic Markers
Salty Ocean Distress Ink
Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide
Foam Squares

For this card I started out by stamping the Stampin' Up Starfish and Seahorse with Black ink onto White paper and colored in the images with Copic Markers.  I cut out the images with Waffle Flower Nesting Postages dies.  I took another piece of White paper and the Stampin' UP Soft Waves Embossing Folder and some Salty Ocean Distress Ink and rubbed that on the inside of the embossing folder, inserted the White paper and ran it through my Big Shot.  I than took Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide and rubbed that over the top of the paper.  I took a Aqua Blue piece of paper and the Whimsy Stamps Sprinkles Scallops Die and cut it out and added it to the Green Card base.  I added the embossed paper to the card and than the Starfish and Seahorse postage stamps to the card.  I took the Newton's Nook Tranquiol Tides sentiment and stamped that with Black Ink onto White paper and cut that out with the Waffle Flower Nesting Postage die and added that to the card.  I added foam squares to the backs of the postage stamps to give the card more dimension.

I am entering this card into Amy Tsuruta's Woodblock Wednesday August Challenge.

Now it is your turn to break out your Woodblock Stamps and create a card for this challenge and join in the fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lori
