Dies R Us Challenge #198 ~ Summer

 Hello Blogging Friends,

Today is August 1st and you know that means that a new challenge starts over on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog ~ DRU Challenge #198 with a theme of Summer.

Here is my card for DRU Challenge #198:

Ingredients:

Watercolor paper
White card stock
Red paper
Gray paper
Gray Woodgrain paper
Blue paper
Navy Blue paper
Ahoy die

For this A2 card I took a piece of Watercolor paper and the Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Salty Ocean distress oxides and my blending brushes and added the different blues to the paper.  I took my spritzer and spritzed the paper with water and dried it with my heat tool.  I took the Impression Obsession Sailboat die and Gray, Gray Woodgrain, Red, White and Blue paper and cut out the different parts of the Sailboat, pieced it together and added it to the paper.  I took another piece of watercolor paper that I had left over and the Memory Box Big Splash Border and cut out the waves and added them to the sailboat.  I took the Sue Wilson Shadow Box Collection Scalloped Lattice Frame and cut all of that out and added it to Navy Blue paper and then I added all of that to a White card stock card base.  I took the Red and Blue paper and the Ahoy die and cut out it out, layered it and added it to the card.

Don't forget to check our Sister Store in Canada with warehouses in USA & Canada called Didi Crafts.

I hope you will come and join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

  4. This is such a fun and happy card, Lori. I've been looking for a sailboat die for a while, and it never seems to be what I'm looking for. This one, however, looks like the perfect sailboat die. Need to go check it out :-)
