Hello Blogging Friends,
Today it is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog and I wanted to share some cards I made here too! I used the newly released Joy Clair 3D Poinsettia stamp set.
For this A2 card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of the card. I took a piece of Ivory paper and ran it through my Big Shot with the Snowflake embossing folder. I stamped the Merry Christmas with Versamark and then heat embossed it with White embossing powder. I then stamped the different poinsettia layers with black ink onto some white watercolor paper and then colored the flower petals in with Copic markers R81, R83 and R85. I colored the leaves in with G29 Copic marker. I then took a pink brad and put all the flower petals and leaves onto the brad and attached it to the embossed paper. I put the smaller flower petals together with a smaller pink brad and added that to the embossed paper and then I added that to the card base. I took the Pink crinkle ribbon and glued that to the left hand side of the card and made a bow with some more of the ribbon and added that to the top of the card.
Here is my other card I made with the 3D Poinsettia stamp set:
For this 2nd card I started with White card stock for the base of this A2 card. I took a piece of white paper and ran it through my Big Shot with the Holly embossing folder and then lightly wiped some gold ink over the raised areas. I took some Cranberry paper and stamped the Poinsettia flower petals and leaves with Versamark and then heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder. I then fussy cut out the leaves and flower petals and I placed all the pieces onto the gold brad and attached the flower to the card. I took the ribbon and attached that to the top of the card. I then took some gold ink and stamped Joy from the 3D Poinsettia stamp set onto more white paper and then cut it out with an oval tag die, inked the edges of the tag with gold ink and I took some white and gold bakers twine and tied the tag onto the card.
For my next card I used the Joy Clair Born is the King stamp set:
For this A2 card I once again started with White card stock for the base of the card. I took a piece of scripted paper and added that to the base of the card. I then stamped the Dove with black ink and the branch with green ink onto some white paper, I took a red pen and put the little red dots around the branch. Then I die cut it out with the ornament die, inked the edges with gold ink and put that on the side. I took the sentiment from the Born is the King stamp set and some black ink and stamped that onto some white paper. I stamped the little branches with green ink and added the red dots with a red pen and then I cut that out with the label die, inked the edges with gold ink and put that on the side. I took some green paper and the tree branch die and cut out the branch and added it to the card and then I hung the ornaments from the branch.
