You Slay Me

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Today I am sharing a card that I made for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #359.

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

Ingredients:

White card stock
Assorted paper from my stash
Watercolor paper
Black ink
Tea Dye distress ink
Copic markers

For this A2 card I started with White card stock for the base of the card. I then took the wood grain paper, inked the edges with Tea Dye distress ink and then added that to the card.  I stamped the MFT Magical Dragons stamp with black ink onto some watercolor paper and then colored in the image with Copic markers.  I cut out the Dragon with the MFT Magical Dragons die and attached that to another piece of printed paper.  I then cut out the MFT Die-namics Stitched Square Scallop Frame die and placed that on top of the paper with the dragon and then added it to the card.  I stamped the sentiment from the MFT Magical Dragons stamp set with black ink onto some more of the same paper that the dragon is attached to and then I cut out the fish tail ends with my scissors and added that to the card.

Be sure to stop by the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #359 to see all the other great projects that were made with this sketch.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. LOL! Such a DARLING card, and a great saying, too, Lori! You simply can NOT go wrong with a purple dragon, especially one as sweet as this. I need to invest in a few pretty frames that scallop toward the interior rather than the outside. They are so effective and make this feel more endearing. Then again, I can remember just 7 years ago when dies were relatively new to the market, and everything, no matter how "plain" seemed like magic! LOL Have a great week! xx

  3. Oh, Lori, this is just soooo cute! I'm getting caught up on visiting my fav blogs so you'll see several comments from me on your various posts. On this one, I dearly love the darling dragon and of course, the fact that you used my favorite color, purple, didn't hurt. :-D Love that sentiment.
