Hello Friends,
Happy 1st Wednesday in October!! That means that today is the start of a new bi-monthly challenge on the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog. Scrapy Land Challenge #27 ~ Theme: Anything Goes PLUS use a die brand that Scrapy Land sells! Scrapy Land has over 40 brands of dies and you can see them all here. Please link your project back to the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog. Also, it would be extremely helpful if you would list the brand of dies used on your projects.
Here is my card for Challenge #27:
Ingredients for this card:
Kraft cardstock
Bo Bunny
Tim Holtz Tags
Faber Castell Gelatos
Tim Holtz Flourish Stencil
Transparent Gloss Texture Paste
Distress Ink
Ribbon
Glitter Pen
Various Paper Scraps
For this 5 by 7 inch card I started with kraft card stock for the base of the card. Next I added a piece of Bo Bunny paper and I put that on the side to make the tag. First I took my tag and colored it with Faber Castell Gelatos and then I used the Tim Holtz Flourish Stencil and I put some transparent gloss texture paste on it. When it was dry I cut out the Die-Version acorns in two different color brown papers and then with burlap, I cut the top off the burlap acorn and placed that over the brown bottoms, I like how it gives the acorn more texture. Then I cut out the Impression Obsession Ginko Leaf and inked that with some brown distress ink, I cut out the Prima Leaves, Die-Versions Leaf and the Ginkgo Leaf in different color papers and inked the edges and then added some to the tag and some to the card. Next I cut out the Die-Versions Express Edge Thankful in brown paper and attached that to the edge of the tag and went over the letters with a sparkle pen. Next I tied the ribbon on the tag and attached that to the card. I inked the edges of the card with more brown distress ink and that is it. I am not totally pleased with the way it came out, but I sure had fun making it! It isn't my usual style, a bit too busy for my taste, but I tried something new and that was fun!

Beautiful, Lori! So many rich colors and textures! It takes me back to the days we lived in CT. I can hear and smell the fallen leaves beneath my feet. I especially like the caps on your acorns! Our oak trees have not begun to lose their green! Hugs, de
