Hello Friends,
Today is the first Wednesday of September and that means the start of a new bi-monthly Challenge at Scrapy Land. This challenge will run from Wednesday, September 2nd through Sunday, September 13th. The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes PLUS a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries. Scrapy Land has over 40 brands of dies and you can see them all here. Please link your project back to the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog. Also it would be extremely helpful if you would list the brands of dies used on your projects.
Scrapy Land has a new Scrapy Land Pinterest account and has lots of boards for inspiration and pinning your favorites. There will be a very generous prize given once we reach 100 followers, 200 followers, etc. To make it more fair the winner will be chosen randomly from all the followers. So be sure to follow Scrapy Land on Pinterest too!!
Here is my card for Scrapy Land Challenge #25:
Ingredients for this card:
Memory Box Everlawn Bells
Sue Wilson Gemini Dies - Pavo
Die-Versions Sweet Wordlets Merry Christmas
Die-Versions Sweet Wordlets Blessings
Versamark
Sparkle N Sprinkle Frosted Juniper embossing powder
Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter Berry embossing powder
papers from my stash
For this card I cut out the Sue Wilson Pavo die with green paper and then covered it with Versamark and then heat embossed it using the Sprakle N Sprinkle Frosted Juniper embossing powder and I added that to the card. Next I cut out the Memory Box Everlawn Bells several times using Silver glitter paper, green paper and red paper. After piecing the top of the bells together I heat embossed the flower with Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter Berry embossing powder and then I inked it all up with more Versamark and used some clear embossing powder and heat embossed tht and then added that to the bells and then onto the card. I cut out the Die-Versions Sweet Wordlets Christmas and Blessings twice, layered them on top of each other and then inked them up with Versamark and heat embossed them with more of the Sparkle N Sprinkle Frosted Juniper embossing powder. So what do you think? I am loving all the new Sue Wilson dies, they are so intricate and elegant!

Wonderful Christmas card! I love how you used the Sue Wilson die as the holder for the bells. I didn't realize it was one of her dies until I read the description - great idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet card, Lori! The embossing powder is so pretty as is your layout!
ReplyDeleteI think I am adding the bells to my wish list. One question: what did you use to adhere the bells? It is a very clean finish!
I run my paper thru a big xyron before I die cut and this way it is already sticky on back!
DeleteHi, Lori! Such a delicate and festive card. There is nothing like the SW dies, and you have used this one in a fantastic manner! The EP on your elements are so pretty - I imagine in real life it is even prettier! hugs, de
