Newton goes to the Beach!!

Hello Friends,

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Today I am going to share a card I made over the weekend for the Newton's Nook:  Inky Paws Challenge #12 - Beach Theme Challenge.

Here's my card:

For this A2 card I started with blue cardstock for the base of the card.  Next I cut a piece of blue marble paper to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches and attached that to the card.  Then I cut a piece of beach sand paper and added that to the bottom of the card.  Next I cut out the Die-Versions Whispers Master Sand Castle die in white and colored it with Copic markers and attached that to the card, then I stamped the cat from Newton's Day Dream stamp set on white paper and colored him with Copics and then fussy cut him out and placed him in front of the sand castle.  I used the sentiment stamp from the Newton's Dream set and used black ink and stamped that on the top right hand side of the card.  Underneath that I put a a cloud that I cut out using the Lawn Fawn's Spring Showers cloud dies and then I cut out the sun from the same set and placed that on the left hand top corner.  I cut out the crab from the Die-Versions Whispers Beach Scene die twice and put one climbing up on Newton and the other crawling towards the sandcastle.  I added 3 shell brads to the bottom left of the card.  So what do you think?  Is Newton having fun at the beach?  I think he is enjoying a nice relaxing nap, let's just hope that crab doesn't bite him!!

I hope I have inspired you to create something fun today!  Please let me know what you think of my card in the comments section, I love reading what everyone thinks of my cards.  I will be shipping this card out in my box of cards to Operation Write Home for our Heroes to use.  Don't forget to check out all the other great cards everyone  has made for this fun challenge here.

Thanks for stopping by!
Lori
