Great Impressions Challenge

Hello Friends,

Today I am going to be sharing with you a card I made for the Great Impressions Challenge for June. Here is my card:

Great Impressions has made some stamp sets specifically for Operation Write Home.  Here is the OWH Sketch that I used for this card:

And this is the Great Impressions Stamp set that I used:

Now to here is how I made this card:

I started with white cardstock for the base of the card.  Next I took a piece of 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches red coredinations paper and I ran that thru my Vagabond with my Darcie Star Embossing folder and then I inked the edges with Denim Blue Distress Ink and added that to the card base.  Next I put the blue paper on the card.  Then I stamped the house stamp on white paper and colored that with Distress Markers and cut it into a circle.  I then cut out a bit bigger circle in navy blue and white star paper and added that to the card.  Next I stamped the sentiment on a piece of white paper that I inked with the same blue ink and added that to the card.  So what do you think?  I love the way the embossed stars stand out on the red coredinations paper.

Please be sure to check out the other cards entered in this Challenge here.  I hope I have inspired you to create something today.

Thanks for stopping by!
