Snow Buddies

Hello Peeps!!

I sure hope it is warming up and melting where you live!  Here in NJ it is warming up, thank goodness, is it Spring yet??  Today I created a card for the Cards in Envy Challenge.  For this challenge, due to the polar vortex, they challenged everyone to make a card with one or more snowmen.

For this card I started with white cardstock for the base, then I attached a light blue paper with snowflakes on it.  I used the Americana Snowman stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs and colored him in with copic markers and then fussy cut him out.  Next I cut out some more snowmen using the Die-Versions Sweet Petites Snowman. I colored them in, cut the hat off one to make it a snowgirl and I tied different color bakers twine around them for scarves.  Then I cut out some snowflakes with the Die-Versions Wee Petites Snow Flurries and randomly placed them on the card.  Then I tore some Core'dinations White Washed paper to look like snowdrifts.

Be sure to check out Cards in Envy Facebook page for more ideas.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Crafting!

Lori

  3. You've created a darling scene here. I like the twine scarves! The patriotic snowman makes this a very appropriate card for OWH! (OK, maybe for next year, since the winter deadline has passed) ;) Thanks for joining our Snow Buddy Like You challenge at Cards in Envy!

    1. Thanks Patricia! I think I am going to put it away for OWH for next winter! I specifically got that stamp for making cards for OWH, but by the time I received it they were onto Valentine's Day Cards! There's always next year!
