Craft Rocket Challenge #9 ~ Mother's Day


Hello Blogging Buddies,

Today is the start of a new challenge on the Craft Rocket Challenge Blog.  Challenge #9 with a theme of Mother's Day theme.

Here is my card for this challenge:


Ingredients:

Close To My Heart Peacock stamp
White card stock
Black card stock
Aqua card stock
Versa mark
White embossing powder
Peacock Feathers distress ink
Cracked Pistachio distress ink
DL.ART Mermaids Tale Second Edition Blue Hue ribbon
Darice Striped background embossing folder
Heart charm

For this 5 by 7 inch card I started with white card stock for the base of the card.  Then I took a piece of black paper and embossed it with my Darice striped background embossing folder and added that to the base.  Next I took some neenah paper and stamped the peacock with Versa mark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Next I took some Peacock Feathers distress ink and some Cracked Pistachio distress ink and rubbed them on the paper, cut down the paper and mounted that on some aqua card stock and then again on white card and then I attached that to the base of the card.  I stamped the sentiment on white paper with Peacock Feathers distress ink and cut that out with a shaped die and popped it up on the card.  Lastly I took the DL.ART Mermaids Tale Second Edition Blue Hue rbbon and made a bow and tied the heart charm onto the bow and attached that to the card.  I really love the colors in this ribbon.

    Absolutely gorgeous! I love the white-embossed peacock with the DI background! The ribbon is such a nice detail and really sets it off. You didn't say if this is for your mother or not, but I know my mother would love this!
