Joy Clair July Challenge

Today is the start of the Joy Clair July Challenge 

and the theme is: Anything Goes for you!!

The Joy Clair Design Team however was to use a Joy Clair stamp set that we love!!

I just happen to LOVE the Joy Clair Bandana Bits stamp set!  When I was a teenager you could always find me in jeans and a bandana in my hair!!  So I really do LOVE this set!!

Now here is the card I made:

Ingredients:

Joy Clair Hello Sentiments stamp set

Versamark

Emerald Creek Rose Gold embossing powder

Tim Holtz Watercolor paper

Kraft card stock

Faded Jeans distress ink

For this A2 card you can see that I went straight back to my teenage years with this card.  I took a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor paper, Faded Jeans distress ink and my blending tool and applied the ink all over the card until in looked like an old pair of jeans!  Then to really make it look like a well loved pair of jeans I sprinkled some coarse salt on the inked paper and then spritzed some water on it and let it dry.  Once it was all dry, I wiped off the salt and was very happy with the effect.  So I stamped the different Bandana Bits stamps with Versamark and then heat embossed it with Emerald Creek Rose Gold embossing powder.  Then I took the hello from the Hello Sentiments stamp set and stamped that with Versamark right in the center of the card and then heat embossed that with more of the Emerald Creek Rose Gold embossing powder!  I then added this paper to the Kraft card stock card base and then inked around the edges of the Kraft card stock with Faded Jeans distress ink.  Now doesn't this bring you right back to your Hippie Days??  It sure does for me!!
