Hello Blogging Friends and Fellow Patriots!!
Today the Joy Clair Design Team is showing off their skills using the new Grungy Flag Background stamp and the Happy Fourth stamp set.
You should have gotten here from Martha's Blog.
Here is the Grungy Flag Background stamp:
And here is the Happy Fourth stamp set
Here are the projects that I created:
Ingredients:
White paper
Blue ink
Red ink
Star die
Blue paper
Faded Jeans distress ink
For this card I stamped the two sections of the Joy Clair Grungy Flag stamp using a piece of scrap paper as a mask. I placed a piece of paper down over the white card stock where the stripes would go and then I inked up the top part of the flag with Blue ink and stamped it several times to get the color I was looking for. When that was finished I moved the paper to cover over the stars and then I inked up the bottom part of the stamp with Red ink and stamped that several times until I got the shade of red that I wanted. Next I took some more white paper and cut out the star using a Star die. I then used the blue ink and the sentiment from the Joy Clair Happy Fourth stamp set and stamped the sentiment Home of the Brave in the middle of the star, I inked the edges with blue ink and then I placed that on top of the stripes on the flag. Then I mounted that onto some blue paper. I love the way the Grungy Flag turned out!
Here is my next card:
Ingredients:
Red ink
Blue ink
Black ink
Versamark
White embossing powder
White card stock
For this A2 card I started with White card stock and then I stamped the fireworks from the Joy Clair Happy Fourth stamp set with Versamark and heat embossed them with White embossing powder. I then took my ink dauber and rubbed some red ink on some of the fireworks, and then some blue on the rest of the fireworks, I filled in the night sky with black ink and my dauber. I took some more white paper and inked the sentiment with red ink and stamped that onto the paper. I took a die and cut out the sentiment and inked the edges with Blue ink, then I mounted that onto the night sky paper and I mounted that onto a white card base.
Here is my last card:
Ingredients:
Quickutz Pinwheel die
Blue paper
Striped paper
Water color paper
Water color pencils
Blue ink
Versamark
Black embossing powder
For this A2 card I started with white card stock for the base of the card. I took some light blue paper, inked the edges with blue ink and then added that to the base of the card. I took some water color paper and stamped the pinwheel stamp from the Joy Clair Happy Fourth stamp set with Versamark, I then heat embossed it with black embossing powder and colored it in with watercolor pencils and then fussy cut it out. I took the striped paper and cut it out with the Quickutz Pinwheel die and I took a Tim Holtz Star Fastener and put the pinwheel together with the stamped pinwheel and attached that to my card. I took the sentiment and stamped that with Blue ink to finish off my card.
