Hello Blogging Friends,
Today I am going to share a couple of cards with you that I made for the Hug a Heart Card Drive for Children.
You can read all about this card drive on Christina Hor's Blog. And we would love it if you would join us in making some cards too!
Here is my first card:
Ingredients:
Memory Box Stitched Heart Layers
Great Impressions Stamps Dog stamp (no longer available)
Copic markers
Pink Polka Dot paper
Picked Raspberry distress ink
Assorted papers from my stash
For this card I started with white card stock for the base of the card. I took the Pink Polka Dot paper, inked the edges with Picked Raspberry distress ink and then added it to the card. Next I took the Memory Box Stitched Heart Layers die and cut out some pink paper. I stamped the Cat's Pajamas Sock It To Me "hugs" sentiment from the stamp set with Picked Raspberry distress ink. Next I stamped the Great Impressions Dog stamp with black ink onto some white paper, I colored the dog with Copic markers, fussy cut it out and then placed it on top of the heart like he is peeking over the top of the heart and I added that to the card. Isn't that dog so cute? Don't you think a child in the hospital will just love this card?
Here is my next card:
Ingredients:
Buggy Designs by Emma Elephant (no longer in business)
Heart Punch
Thinking of You stamp
Various paper from my stash
Tumbled Glass distress ink
Black ink
Copic markers W1, W3 and W5
For this card I started with white card stock for the base of the card, then I took the patterned paper, inked the edges with Tumbled Glass distress ink and then added that to the card. I took some white watercolor paper and die cut the Elephant and then colored him with Copic markers, W1, W3 and W5 and then pieced him together and added him to the card. I took my heart punch and punched out some pink paper, used some black ink to stamp the sentiment on to the heart and then added the heart to the card. I sure hope this card brightens a child's day!
I will be posting more cards now and then before the Hug a Heart Blog Hop on February 1st! So be sure to mark your calendar for February 1st and stop back here often to see more cards.
Thanks for stopping by!
