Hello Blogging Sistahs and Bosom Buddies,
Today is the start of the November Calling All Sistahs Blog Hop!
It's the 17th of the month and you know what that means!! This is your monthly reminder to do your breast self-exam and to get your mammograms scheduled!! Each month we do a Calling All Sistahs Blog Hop to remind our friends and family to get it done! Early detection is key to long term survival rates and cures!! So take the time right now to Check Yourself!!
You should have gotten here from Lisa Lahiff's blog. If not, you can start over by going back to the beginning and start over at the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog.
Here is my card for this months challenge:
Ingredients:
Core'dinations White Washed pink paper
Versamark
Black embossing powder
Picked Raspberry distress ink
Spun Sugar distress ink
Festive Berries distress ink
Watercolor paper
Charm
For this A2 card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of the card. I took a piece of Core'dinations White Washed pink paper and my Richard Garay Knitted Pattern embossing folder and ran it through my Vagabond, sanded it down and then added it to the card. I took my craft mat and rubbed some Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar and Festive Berries distress inks on the mat and then spritzed it water and then I took a piece of watercolor paper and ran it through the puddle of inks and water, sprinkled it with Kosher salt and let it dry. Once it was dry I rubbed off the salt and then cut it out with the W Plus 9 hope die from the Seasonal Sentiments die set and then I attached that to the card. I then stamped the sentiment from the CAS-ual Friday Hope Ribbon stamp set with Versamark onto some torn pink paper and then heat embossed it with Black embossing powder and added that to the card. Lastly I took some of the DL.ART Rose crinkle ribbon from the Vintage Vineyard pack and wrapped that around the card. I made a bow and added the never, never give up charm to the bow.
