Hello Sistahs,
This month's Encourage a Sistah Blog Hop is going to be super special! October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so in addition to reminding our sisters to do their self-exams and schedule those yearly mammograms, we are asking you to make a card to encourage a sistah that has been recently diagnosed, is currently under treatment or has recently gone through the breast cancer battle. Most of us have either been touched by this terrible disease or have loved someone who has.
You should have come here from Lisa Lahiff's blog. If not you can go back to the beginning and start over at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog.
Here is my card for this month's challenge:
Ingredients:
Rose Embossing Folder
Hearts Embossing Folder
Assorted paper from my stash
Picked Raspberries distress ink
For this A2 card I started with white card stock for the base of the card. I took a piece of the Lil' Inker Designs Dip Dyed Ombre pink paper and ran it through my Vagabond with the Rose embossing folder and then added it to the base of the card. I cut out the Casual Friday Ruffled Ribbon Fri-Die in pink paper and then embossed it with the Hearts embossing folder, inked the edges with Picked Raspberries distress ink and added that to the card. I took some more of that same pink paper and cut out the Casual Friday Hope Fri-Die and added that to the card. I will be sending this out to a close friend of mine who is a breast cancer survivor!
You can read all about how Calling All Sistahs got started right here.
Your next stop on the Blog Hop is Lori McAree's blog and if you should get lost along the way please head back to the Casual Fridays Blog!
Why not join the Calling All Sistahs Facebook group here.
Or maybe next month join in on the Calling All Sistahs blog hop as one of the stops on the blog hop!
(To be a part of the blog hop from now on you only need to use one CASual Firdays Stamp or die to participate in this blog hop. It does not have to come from the Calling All Sistahs line.)
**Make sure to comment on all the blogs in the Blog Hop to get a chance to win! The prize is different this month: One person will win the new CASual Fridays Stamps release for commenting along the blog hop. This includes a NEW Calling All Sistahs style stamp set!!**
Comments must be made by 12:00 am EST on October 19, 2016 to qualify.
Now it is your turn to do your self-exams and to schedule your yearly mammogram!!
