DL.ART THANKFUL THURSDAY CHALLENGE #184 ~ SUMMER FOODS

Hello Blogging Buddies

Today is the start of a new challenge on the DL.ART Blog.

The theme for this challenge is ~ Thankful Thursday Challenge #184 ~ Summer Foods.

Ingredients:

DL.ART Yellow Crinkle Ribbon from the Rainbow Bundle
Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Rectangle Die
Poppystamps Weeping Willow Branch die
Quickutz Lemon Slice die
Reverse Confetti Fresh 'N Fruity stamp set
Versamark
Black embossing powder
Green ink
Maja Coffee in the Arbor paper lemon paper
Kraft cardstock
Flower and button brad from my stash

For this A2 card I started with kraft card stock for the base of the card, I took a piece of lemon paper from the Maja Coffee in the Arbor paper pack and inked the edges with green ink, I cut some green paper with the  Poppystamps Weeping Willow Branch die and added that to the lemon paper.  Then I took some of the DL.ART Yellow Crinkle Ribbon and wrapped that around the top of the paper and then added that to the card base.  Next I stamped the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti Fresh 'N Fruity stamp set with Versamark and heat embossed it with black embossing powder, cut out the sentiment with the Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Rectangle die and inked the edges with green ink and added that to the card.  Next I cut out the Quickutz Lemon Slice with two different colors of yellow paper and added the lemon slice to the card.  I took the flower and the button brad from my stash and added that to the top right of the card.

  1. Lovely card, Lori - the sentiment is certainly true! I am grateful for blogging buddies like you who are always kindly full of encouragement, helping me to try new styles and techniques (thanks for being "you").

That cascading vine is beyond beautiful, isn't it? I can picture it at night with lightning bugs flying throughout the leaves, and the wind gently swaying them, just like it does our hanging spanish moss. The ribbon across the top looks great!

Your sentiment holds a very special memory for me, for an approaching anniversary of sorts. Thank you for bringing it to mind, and reminding me about gratitude in this way.
