Tis The Season

Hi Blogging Buddies,

Well I got all my Christmas cards together yesterday and mailed them off to Caring Hearts Card Drive.  I sent a total of 25 cards.  My daughter and her fiance' helped me write in all of them so I hope we bring smiles to the faces of some people in nursing homes.  I will share another one of the cards with you today.

For this A2 card I started with kraft card stock for the base of the card.  Next I took some music paper and cut it out using my Spellbinders Divine Eloquence die and then I inked the edges with red ink and added that to the base of the card.  Next I cut out the Die-Versions Singing Carolers die with black glitter paper and added that to the card.  Then I took some red paper and my Die-Versions Sweet Wordlets Tis The Season die and cut out the sentiment and added that to the card.  Then I tied some red, white and green bakers twine around the top of the card and I added a red gingham bow.  I just love that DV Singing Carolers die!

This card, along with 24 others, were mailed yesterday to  Caring Hearts Card Drive.  I will be sharing the last couple with you next week when everyone starts to get into the Christmas Season!
This is the 6th year that Vera Yates and Jennifer McGuire   have been collecting handmade Christmas cards to give to those that live in nursing homes.  Caring Hearts Card Drive is all about bringing joy and holiday cheer to the elderly that are often quite lonely.  This card drive will be going on from October 3 to November 27, 2015.  All Christmas cards must be delivered before November 27th.

I  hope you have enjoyed seeing all the Christmas cards I made for this wonderful cause as much as I enjoyed making them!!  I sure hope they help to brighten someone's day!

Don't forget if you go shopping at Die-Versions to use coupon code lori15 when you check out to get 15% off!  This is only valid on everyday prices.

Thanks for stopping by!!
