DV/SNS Cancer Awareness Blog Hop

Sparkle N Sprinkle and Die-Versions are partnering up for a very special joint blog hop, called the Awareness Campaign.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the newly released Die-Versions dies and the stamp sets revealed in the joint blog hop will go to help with cancer research.
Almost every one has been touched by cancer in one way or another.  Either you or a family member has had cancer or you know someone who has had cancer.  The Designers from both teams are joining together to help the fight to eradicate all cancers by inspiring you.

Not only are we debuting NINE new Die-Versions low profile dies (July 2015 Reveal - scroll down to the end of the reveal), Sparkle N Sprinkle is also revealing THREE stamp sets for this Awareness Campaign.

The SNS sets are:
Pink Ribbon Background 408  (digi version DIGI408)
Survivor 713    (digi version DIGI713T)
Awareness 714   (digi version  DIGI714T)

A Grand Prize winner will be chosen from comments left on the Designers' blogs and will be announced on August 4th.  You won't know who the Mystery Designer is until after the Joint Blog hop, so remember to leave a comment with each of the Designers.

The Winner will be announced on the Die-Versions Facebook page, the Sparkle N Sprinkle Facebook page, the DV Blog, and on the SNS Blog and will receive a $25 gift certificate from BOTH Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle.

(*tip: click on the Designer's Home tab or the title of her blog if you have any issues with the link.)

We hope you enjoy the Awareness Joint Blog Hop as much as we have enjoyed creating new projects for it.  We also hope that we have inspired you as well.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  (We love reading them too since your comments also inspire us.)

Now here is a little bit about how I created my cards.

For my first card I started with pink gingham paper.  I stamped the Survivor stamp  with Versa mark and then heat embossed using Pink Delight embossing powder  and then cut it out using my circle cutter.  I then cut out the Whispers Ring of Hearts die in pink paper and attached that to kraft paper and cut that out with my circle cutter and attached that to the card, and  I placed the survivor circle in the middle of that. Next I cut out the Whispers Awareness Belive die with white paper and I rubbed Versa mark all over that and very carefully added the Pink Delight embossing powder to that and heat embossed that and added that underneath the circle. Now for my next card:

For this card I cut out the Whispers Awareness Believe die in white paper, applied Versa mark and then heat embossed it using the Pink Delight embossing powder.  I then took a piece of kraft paper and stamped the pretty design from the Survivor Stamp Set 713 with Versa mark ink and heat embossed it with the Pink Delight embossing powder and I added the Believe word over that and then added that to the card.  I used some ribbon from my stash and I added a small piece of Ivory Pearl String to the bow.  I love how it gives it that femine touch with being to thick for an envelope!  Here is a picture of the inside of this card:

For the inside of I stamped the Survivor with Ribbon stamp from the Survvivor Stamp Set 713 with Versa mark ink and then heat embossed it Pizzazz Pink embossing powder.  And here is my last card:

For this card I cut out the Whispers Awareness Square die and cut it out in bright pink paper.  I used white card stock for the base and added Magnolia Ink "Prince and Princesses" Pink Magic Bubbles paper to the base after inking the edges with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.  Next I stamped the Race for a Cure sentiment from the Survivor Stamp Set 713 with Versa mark ink and then heat embossed it with Princess Rose embossing powder and then rounded the corners with one of my CM corner rounders and inked the edges with more Victorian Velvet distress ink and added that to the card.  Here is the inside of this card:

And here is a close up so you can see some of the sparkle that is in the Princess Rose embossing powder.

  18. The gingham card is my favorite, I really like the contrast of the gingham and the die cuts. You have used Versa mark with a lot of your cards to emboss, I think I need to start doing that and not use as much tape, thanks!
