You're the Captain of My Heart!

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Today I have a fun Pirate card that I made to share with you.  I am entering this card in the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge ~ Wednesday Sketch Challenge #395.

Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

Ingredients:

My Favorite Things Let's Get Nautical Die-Namics (no longer available)
White card stock
Wood grain paper
Neenah Solar White paper
Blue paper
Copic markers
Versamark
Black ink
Brown ink

For this A2 card I started with white card stock for the base of the card.  I took the tan wood grain paper, inked the edges with brown ink and added that to the base of the card.  I took the porthole window die from the My Favorite Things Let's Get Nautical Die-Namics set and some Neenah Solar White card stock and I cut out the porthole window.  I put Versamark all over the porthole window and then heat embossed it with Emeral Creek Verdigris embossing powder and added that to the card.  I took some brass brads and placed them in the wholes all around the porthole window.  I took some blue paper and cut out the center of the porthole with the die from that same set.  I took the My Favorite Things Party Like a Pirate stamp set and stamped the island onto the blue window and colored it in with Copic markers and then placed it inside the porthole.  I took some more Neenah Solar White paper and the Captain stamp from the same stamp set and some black ink and stamped him onto the paper.  I colored him in with Copic markers and then I used the coordinating My Favorite Things Party Like a Pirate Die-Namics die and cut out the Captain and added him to the card.  I took the sentiment form the same stamp set and some black ink and stamped the sentiment on the top of the card.

Be sure to hop on over to the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #395 to see what the Design Team have made for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
