Joy Clair Butterfly Kisses

Hello Blogging Friends,

Today it is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog and for the month of July the Design Team is to make a project using one of our favorite stamp sets. Well I absolutely LOVE butterflies, I even garden for butterflies, so my favorite Joy Clair stamp set is Butterfly Kisses.

This is such a fun stamp set to work with if you are a butterfly lover like me!!

I started with a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor paer and my Broken China, Cracked Pistachio, Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet distress oxides.

I took my craft mat and I swiped each of the distress oxide inks onto my mat and then squirted it with some water and ran my paper through it several times until it was completely covered with ink and then I spritzed more water onto the paper.

I used my heat tool to dry the paper and then I decided to spritz more water onto it.

After it was all dry I took the Butterfly Kisses stamps and some Versamark and stamped them onto the paper.

Then I heat embossed it with black embossing powder.

Then I took my Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers dies and cut out the small butterfly on the bottom left of the paper and cut out the medium size butterfly with the next size up circle die.  I use a removable tape to keep my dies in place while I run them through my Big Shot.

I inked the edges of the circles with Faded Jeans distress ink and put them on the side.  I took the rest of the watercolor paper and inked the edges with Faded Jeans distress ink and then I placed that on the Kraft card stock card base.  I took some pop dots and put them on the back of the two circles and then placed them onto the card where the circles were cut out.  Next I took the sentiment from the stamp set and some black ink and stamped that onto the bottom right of the card.  I took some DL.ART Strawberry-Grape crinkle ribbon and made a bow and added that to the top of the card.

Here is a closer look of how the finished card looks:

Well I hope you liked my tutorial today!

I would like to enter this card in the Cardz 4 Galz:  Challenge #51 Butterflies

Thanks for stopping by!
