Joy Clair Anchor of Hope

Hello Blogging Friends,

Today it is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog and I want to share with you a card I made using the Joy Clair Anchor of Hope stamp set:

I started this card by taking a piece of watercolor paper and positioning it on my Misti:

I stamped the sentiment with black ink and then placed the other stamps where I wanted them on my card and stamped them with black ink.

I love the anchor and the life preserver with the awesome sentiment!  Now it is time to color.

I colored the life preserver with Copic marker R29 and the anchor with T3.  Now it is time to make my card!  First I cut down the stamped image to 4 inch by 4 inch square and then I inked the edges with Worn Lipstick distress ink.  Then I took the yellow, white and blue striped paper and I mounted the stamped image to that paper and I inked the edges with Mustard Seed distress ink and then I mounted that onto some red paper to tie it in with the red on the life preservers.  Lastly, I mounted all of those layers onto some Kraft card stock and cut the card down to 5 1/4 by 5 1/4 inch square.  I really like the way this turned out!  I was so happy that I had the Nautical striped paper to tie it all together!

Here is my finished card:

I hope I have inspired you to make something fun today!

Thanks for stopping by!
