Hello Blogging Friends,

Today I have some exciting news to share with you!!  First ~ there is a NEW Challenge Blog on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog!!  It is called the Encouragement Squad and it starts on the 18th of every month and there will be an Inspiration Photo to help you with the challenge of making an an encouragement card for someone who could use a smile!  You can read all about it here!!

Now for more good news ~  I have been asked by Michele Gross, the owner of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps to be part of the CAS-ual Friday Encouragement Squad!!   I have been participating in the CAS-ual Fridays "Calling All Sistahs" Blog Hops to help remind women to do their monthly breast exams and it has really touched me how many women appreciate the reminder!  I love the whole concept of encouraging people who are going through a rough patch in life and I am very proud and honored to be part of this special Design Team.  I love making cards, especially ones that will bring a smile to someone's face who is in need of some good vibes!

Not only will the Calling All Sistahs reminder go live on the 17th of every month, but now on the 18th there will be a challenge from the Encouragement Squad for you participate in with us!!  I sure hope you will join us!!

Here is a card I made to introduce you to my style of card making!

Patterned paper from my stash
Kraft card stock
VersaFine Onyx Black ink
Sakura Glaze Pen Glossy Orange
Tattered Rose distress ink

For this A2 card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of the card.  I took a piece of patterned paper, inked the edges with Tattered Rose distress ink and then I attached that to the card.  I took some VersaFine Onyx Black ink and stamped the music staff onto the card along with the music notes and sentiment.  I colored the inside of the Treble Cleff with Glossy Orange Sakura Glaze pen.  I took a piece of DL.ART Caribbean Coral crinkle ribbon and made a bow and attached that to the card.

Be sure to stop by the CAS-ual Fridays Blog and check out the Encouragement Squad to see all the new Design Team members!

Thanks for stopping by!
