Hello Blogging Friends,
Today I would like to share with you a card that I made with 2 of the Newly Released Joy Clair stamp sets: Happy Camper and Be Brave.
Here is my card:
Ingredients:
Assorted paper from my stash
Black ink
Versa mark
White embossing powder
For this 5 x 7 card I started by stamping the feather stamp from the Joy Clair Be Brave stamp set twice with Versa mark onto watercolor paper and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I wanted to try out the new Ken Oliver Caribbean Brights Color Burst Powder that I just recently purchased. I have never worked with this before and the results are amazing, but you have to be careful because the powder is in a squeeze bottle and you only need a tiny bit of the powder to get a lot of color! After the feathers were stamped and embossed I spritzed the paper with some water and then sprinkled some Turquoise and some Orchid color bursts onto the paper. I swirled it around a bit with a paper towel and then I let it dry. Once it was dry I fussy cut out each of the feathers. I put the two feathers together and attached them to the card. Then I took the sentiment from the Joy Clair Happy Camper stamp set and stamped it with black ink onto some purple paper. I used an old Creative Memories corner rounder for the corners and then I attached that to the polka dot paper and rounded the corners with the same punch and then added the sentiment to the card. I just love how this card turned out!
Now be sure to hurry on over to the Joy Clair store and check out all the new stamp sets that were just released for February! Then you might want to join us in the February Challenge with the theme of Shades of Red. That should be easy during this month of love!!
Thanks for stopping by!
