Hello Blogging Friends,
The weather here in New Jersey has been so warm and sunny the last couple of days that it has me dreaming of Spring!! So today I have a Spring/Summer card to share with you that I made with the Joy Clair Bee Kind stamp set! This stamp set is so much fun to work with!
Here is my card:
Ingredients:
Quickutz branch die
Watercolor pencils
Watercolor paper
Black ink
Gold and Black card stock
For this A2 card I started by stamping the stamps from the Joy Clair Bee Kind stamp set with black ink onto watercolor paper. I colored everything with watercolor pencils and then used a paint brush and some water to smooth and blend the colors together. I took some Brown paper and the Quickutz branch die and ran it through my Vagabond and then added it to the watercolor paper so it looks like the beehive is hanging from a branch. I cut this down to 3 3/4 inches by 5 inches and then mounted this on Black card stock that I had cut down to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches. I took some Gold card stock and cut it down to make the 5 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches card size. I really had fun making this card and thinking about the soon to come bees buzzing around my flowers! I love seeing them!!
I have inspired you to create something fun today!
Thanks for stopping by!

How sweet this is, Lori! I love how you incorporated the honey comb element, and kept the hive up high by the tree limb! Such a cute set, but you have really brought it to life with your pretty, cheerful card design! hugs, de

This is so beautiful, Lori!! I love the scene you've created and the colors!! We were having nice warm spring-like weather until yesterday when the temps dropped. Wind chills of 15. I'm not happy with Mother Nature!! I love your card, though!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)
