Joy Clair Candy Hearts Love

Hello Blogging Buddies,

Today it is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog and I am sharing with you a Valentine's Day card that I made with the new Joy Clair Candy Hearts stamp set.  I love all the new stamp sets that Joy Clair released this month.

Here is my card:

Ingredients:

Picked Raspberry distress ink
Hot Pink ink
Versamark
White embossing powder
Pink & White bakers twine
Pop-dots

For this A2 card I started with white card stock for the base of the card.  I took another piece of white paper and ran it through my Vagabond with the Lifestyle Crafts Rose embossing folder, then I took some Picked Raspberry distress ink and lightly rubbed that over the embossing, I inked the edges and then attached that to the card.

Then I took the double hearts stamp and some Hot Pink ink and stamped the hearts on some more white paper.  After the ink was dry, I positioned the word stamps on top of the hearts and I used my Misti to stamp the words with Versamark ink.

Then I heat embossed the words with white embossing powder.

When that was finished I fussy cut out the hearts and placed them with pop-dots in the center of the card.

I took some Pink & White bakers twine and wrapped it around the left hand side of the card and then tied it in a bow at the top of the card.

That was it!  Easy Peasy quick Valentine's Day card!  I love this Joy Clair Candy Hearts stamp set!  It is so much fun to make cards with it!

Thanks for stopping by!
Lori

  5. Lori, what a beautiful touch of the picked raspberry on the roses and great technique too! I'm used to apply the brayer's technique to embossing folders. But never this way. Thanks for sharing this great tutorial! hugs!
