Tea for Two

Hello Blogging Buddies,

Today I am going to share with you a card I made for the Coffee Lovers Card Exchange (on facebook)  for the month of July.  I sent it out to my partner a couple of days ago and I sure hope it reaches her very soon!

Ingredients:

So Suzy Stamps Tea Fairy stamp (no longer available)
VersaMark
Black embossing powder
Seedless Preserves distress ink
Milled Lavender distress ink
Black ink
Various paper from my stash

For this A2 card I started with white card stock.  I took some patterned paper and added that to the base of the card.  Next I took some stamped the Teacup Fairy stamp with VersaMark onto some distress watercolor paper and then heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I then cut that out with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Oval die.  I inked the edges with Seedless Preserves distress ink and colored the background with Milled  Lavender distress ink.  Next I took the sentiment for the Paper Sweeties Tea for Two stamp set and stamped them with black ink and then I attached the oval to the card.

I sure do hope that my coffee partner likes this card!  I had so much fun making it!

Thanks for stopping by!
Lori

  6. oh so CUTE, Lori! The image is a real find - it reminds me of a story, too, about the difference between the Ultimate Good Place (Heaven) and the Ultimate Bad Place (you know what). They both had the same eating utensils and the same food, but the people in the Good Place were happy and content, and sated from their meals. But the People in the Bad Place were emaciated, grumbling, and sickly. The difference was that the Good Place People had learned to spoon feed one another and work together by serving each other, and the "bad place" people tried only to feed themselves, and could never get the spoon near their mouths.

The paper is darling, and your pinky colors with these fairs makes your card so happy and full of life! It's beautiful in artwork, and in concept! Thanks for the inspiration today, Lori!

    hugs,
