Scrapy Land Challenge #31

Hello Dear Blogging Buddies!!

Well can you believe it is December already?  This year has really flown by!  So much to do between now and Christmas! Since this is the first Wednesday of December that means that today is the start of new bi-monthly challenge on the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog!! The Theme for Challenge #31 is Anything Goes PLUS use any brand of low profile or steel ruled die that Scrapy Land sells.  Scrapy Land has over 40 brands of dies and you can see them all here.  Please link your project back to the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog.

Here is my card for Scrapy Land Challenge #31 ~ Anything Goes PLUS use any brand of low profile or steel ruled die Scrapy Land sells.

Ingredients:

Circle Punch
Papers from my stash

For this A2 card I started with a light blue card stock for the base of the card.  Next I took a piece of Bo Bunny Altitude Collection paper and added that to the base of the card.  Next I took my Magnolia DooHickey Snow Forest die and cut it out three times with green striped paper.  I took my Versamark pen and colored some spots on the trees and I heat embossed it using Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter White embossing powder to make the trees look blanketed in snow.  Then I took some white paper and cut it out using my Spellbinders Curved Borders Two die. I attached some of the snow trees on the card first and then I put down the white paper to look like snow drifts, then I put some more of the trees in front of the snow.  Next I took some yellow glitter paper and punched out a circle to be the moon and added that to the card.  Then I cut out the Die-Version Whispers Santa's Reindeer in black sparkly paper and added that to the card.  Now doesn't this just make you think of Christmas Eve?

Now it is your turn to create something for this challenge!  This challenge closes December 13th.

Please remember:

~ include one or more die brands that Scrapy Land sells
~ the theme is Anything Goes PLUS use any SL die brands
~ include a link to Scrapy Land Challenge #31 in your post
~ please limit the number of entries to five
~ it would be extremely helpful if you would list the brands of dies used in your projects

The winner will receive a $15 Gift Certificate to the on-line Scrapy Land store.  Don't forget to stop by the Scrapy Land Blog to see all the wonderful creations that the Scrapy Land Design Team have made for this challenge.  For more inspiration you can always check out Scrapy Lands many idea boards on Pinterest.  Good luck!

  2. Lori! This is pure magic! I love what you have done with the colors, die cuts, and shiny textures! So pretty with some of the trees nestled behind the snowbank (I would never have thought of doing that!) I have the Sue Wilson Santa silhouette which is slightly curved - maybe we could trade some of our die cuts - would you like that? (BTW, I finally got some of the carousel horses off to you! Sorry it took so long - they are on Neenah CS with Memento ink, so you can use alcohol markers with them - let me know if you would like more - I do apologize for being so long, Lori.) xoxox
