Hello Blogging Buddies,
I am back today with another Christmas card for the Caring Hearts Card Drive.
For this A2 card I started with white card stock for the base of the card, then I took a piece of Bo Bunny Altitude Collection paper, after inking the edges with Peacock Feathers distress ink, added that to the white card stock. I took some DL.Art Mermaids Tale Second Edition Blue Hue Tail ribbon and wrapped it around the Bo Bunny paper on the left corner and then made a bow with it. I just love how the colors in this beautiful ribbon go so well with the colors in the Bo Bunny paper! Next I took a sheet of Adornit Art Play Holly Jolly paintables and colored in the reindeer block with Copic markers, cut it out, inked the edges with Peacock Feathers distress ink and added that to the card. I really love the fun drawings on the Holly Jolly Art Play paper that was designed by Lindsay Ostrom.
I will be mailing this card to Caring Hearts Card Drive along with the other Christmas cards I have been making.
This is the 6th year that Vera Yates and Jennifer McGuire have been collecting handmade Christmas cards to give to those that live in nursing homes. Caring Hearts Card Drive is all about bringing joy and holiday cheer to the elderly that are often quite lonely. This card drive will be going on from October 3 to November 27, 2015. All Christmas cards must be delivered before November 27th.
I hope I have inspired you to create a Christmas card today for the Caring Hearts Card Drive to bring some joy to someone living in a nursing home.
