Christmas Blessings Cardinal

Hello Blogging Buddies,

Here is today's Christmas card for the Caring Hearts Card Drive.

For this A2 Christmas card I started with white card stock for the base of the card.  Next I added the red and green plaid paper.  Then I cut out a piece of red paper using my My Favorite Things Die-namics Ride the Wave and added part of it to the card.  Then I took the cardinal square from the Adornit Art Play Holly Jolly Paintable paper, colored with Copic markers, inked the edges with red ink and added that to the card.  Next I took the green bow and ribbon and added that to the card.   I have really been enjoying coloring these Art Play papers!

I will be sending this card along with the other Christmas cards I have been making to Caring Hearts Card Drive.
This is the 6th year that Vera Yates and Jennifer McGuire have been collecting handmade Christmas cards to give to those that live in nursing homes.  Caring Hearts Card Drive is all about bringing joy and holiday cheer to the elderly that are often quite lonely.  This card drive will be going on from October 3 to November 27, 2015.  All Christmas cards must be delivered to Caring Hearts before November 27th.

I hope I have inspired you to create a Christmas card or two today for Caring Hearts Card Drive to bring some joy to someone living in a nursing home.

Thanks for stopping by!
Lori
