Count the Waves

Hello Friends,

Today I would like to share with you a card I made for Operation Write Home.  I participated in the Finishing Strong: Memorial Day Blog Hop and I was the lucky winner of Patricia Hays "Thinking of Inking" Blog Candy!!  The stamp I used today is one of the many wonderful surprises I got from her very generous Blog Candy gift!!  Thank you to Patricia Hay for all of my goodies!  Now here is my card:

For this card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of the card and then added the patterned paper after inking the edges with turquoise ink.  Next I stamped my adorable Sailor stamp with black ink on some white paper and colored it with my Copic ,markers.  Next I die cut it using my Lil' Inker Designs stitched square die.  Next I inked the edges of thie paper and I stamp the Cout the Waves sentiment with Versa mark and heat embossed it with turguoise embossing powder and added that to the card.  Next I took my Lawn Fawn Spring Showers cloud die and cut out some more white paper and inked the edges with a light blue ink and added that to the card.  Then I took my Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets #1 die and cut out the banner and stamped the other sentiment with turquoise ink and addedt that to the card.  Lastly I took my  swirls die and cut it out using some water paper and added that to the bottom of the card for waves!  So what do you think?  Isn't this sailor just adorable?  I sure do think so!

Thank you again to Patricia Hays for all my goodies!  I love all of it!  I hope I have inspired you to create something fun today!

Thanks for stopping by!
