Scrapy Land Challenge #6

Hello Peeps,

Happy Wednesday and today is the start of the Scrapy Land Challenge #6 ~ Texture plus a brand of dies that Scrapy Land sells.  For my project today I decided to make a Masculine Birthday Card:

For this card I started out with kraft cardstock for the base of the card.  Then I took my Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets dies  and cut out more kraft paper in the different size banners.  Then I ran them thru my Vagabond using different Sizzix and Darice Embossing Folders and then I used my Tim Holtz Distress Ink Stains in metallic Antique Bronze, Tarnished Brass and Brushed Pewter over the different textures on the banners to make them look more masculine.  Then I heat embossed the bottom half of the card with clear embossing powder.  Next I cut 1 3/4 inch wide strip of burlap and cut the ends to match the banners and added that over top of the other banners. Then I stamped Wicked on another kraft banner and inked the edges with black ink and put that on top of the burlap.  Then I took a horse shoe brad and ran some bakers twine thru the horse shoe to attach the denim banner with Happy Birthday stamped on it.  Then to finish it off I took a button and sewed it on the card with more bakers twine.  So what do you think??  Did I put enough texture on this card??  I was so afraid there wouldn't be enough texture that I just kept adding more.  I think it makes a nice Masculine Birthday Card, don't you?

So now it is your turn to get creative with texture and a brand of die that Scrapy Land sells (there are over 40 brands) and make a project to enter into the latest Scrapy Land Challenge and then you could be the lucky winner of the $15 Gift Card to Scarpy Land on-line store.  Good Luck!!

I hope I have inspired you to create something today!!

Thanks for stopping by!!
