The joint blog hop with Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle begins today (7am EST) and goes until Aug 17th (5pm EST), so there
will be plenty of time to check out all the great projects created by both
teams. The theme is Christmas, so you'll get lots of great inspiration
for your upcoming Holiday cards.
In order to be eligible for the Grand Prize, please:
- Leave a comment on each Designer's blog
- Follow both companies on Facebook (DV Facebook page; SNS Facebook page) if you haven't already so you can keep up to date on all the latest goings on. (I'm sure that all of the Designers would love for you to Follow them too, but that isn't a requirement to win this prize.)
You should have arrived here from Patti's blog If not, then you should begin at the Die-Versions Blog and
end at the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog.
If you get lost along the way, you can go to either the DV Blog or the
SNS Blog to see the complete list of participants.
We'd love it if you'd like to leave a comment at either the DV
Blog or the SNS Blog telling us which projects were your favorites. :-)
Here is the card I made for the Blog Hop:
For this 6 1/2 inch by 5 inch card I started with some kraft cardstock for the base of the card. I cut out a 4 inch oval in the center of the card. Then I stamped some white paper with the Sparkle N Sprinkle Pine Forest Stamp and some Versamark, then I covered the trees with Juniper Embossing Powder from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter Essentials Collection, I added some Winter White Embossing Powder from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Essetnials Collection to make some snow mountains in front of the trees. I used some blue ink to color the sky and then I cut out the Die-Versions Sweet Petite Reindeer in tan paper and I used some Sparkle N Sprinkle Buff Flock on the deer to give him some texture. Then when this was all dry I added that to the card on the underside of the oval. Next I took a piece of patterned paper, cut the oval in the center and added that to the card top.
Here is a close up of the Die-Versions Sweet Petite Reindeer covered with Sparkle N Sprinkles Buff Flock.
Next I cut out the Die-Versions Whispers Scrolly Bow in red paper and added some Versamark and then some Winter Berry Embossing Powder from the Winter Essentials Collection and then heat embossed it and added it to the card under the oval.
Here is a close up of the Die-Versions Whispers Scrolly Bow covered with Winter Berry Embossing Powder from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Winter Essentials Collection.
Next I cut out the Die-Versions Whispers Snowflake Corner die in white paper and used Versamark on it and added the Winter White Embossing Powder to it and heat embossed it, and then added it to the card so that it hangs over into the oval.
And to finish off the card I used a Versamark pen around the edges and I added the Winter Berry Embossing Powder from the Winter Essentials Collection and then heat embossed it. And that is my card for the Blog Hop. Please be sure to go to all the stops and see all the beautiful projects!
