Hello Friends!!
Welcome to the first joint blog hop with Die-Versions Design Team members and Operation Write Home!! You should be coming here form Sandy's Blog. If not, please be sure to start the hop at the OWH Stars and Stamps blog. The Die-Versions March Release will be featuring a new set of dies that will be a fundraising product for OWH. I love all of these dies! They are just perfect for making Any Hero cards or cards for our Heroes to send home to their loved ones. Here is the new release:
For the Blog Hop I received 3 dies to showcase. My first die is the Hero Express Edge and here is my project:
For this A2 card I started with a piece of tan cardstock for the base of the card. Next I cut out the camoflage paper and adhered that to the card base. Then I cut out the Hero Express Edge in green paper and attached that to the card. Next I cut a piece of Core'dinations Cream Star paper 2 inches by 5 inches and sanded it. I then attached the stars to a piece of green paper, 2 1/4 inches by 5 1/4 inches and attached that to the card. Next I cut out the Whispers Military Tags die in silver paper and attached them to the card. I really like the way the star core'dination paper and the camoflage paper go together! I think it will be perfect for sending an Any Hero card to one of our Heroes thanking them for their service!!
My next die is the Sweet Spots Top Secret and here is my project:
For this A2 card I started with white cardstock for the base of the card, next I cut a piece of weathered redwood paper to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches and attached that to the white base. Next I cut out a piece of blue paper with the Whispers Hexagon Background die and I ripped some of it apart and attached that to the card. Next I took the Sweet Spots Top Secret die and cut it out twice, once in red and once in white, I then inlaid the pieces together and attached it to the card! Now it is ready for one of our Heroes to send a Top Secret note home to a loved one!
My next die is the Sweet Phrases I Adore You die and here is my project:
For this A2 card I started with blue cardstock for the base of the card, then I cut a piece of Bo Bunny Anthem paper and attached that to the card. Then I cut out the Sweet Phrases I Adore You twice, one in white and one in blue and I pieced them together and attached them to the card. Now who wouldn't adore getting this card in the mail from a loved one?

ReplyDeleteAll great cards, but I really like the "top secret" one! I thought at first the blue was a piece of mesh. Never would have guessed it was die-cut paper, if you hadn't told that. I also like the inlaid die-cut idea. I've seen this done on YouTube, but haven't yet taken the opportunity to try it myself. I'll have to try that one of these days, when I think of it as I'm actually crafting! Thanks for sharing these wonderful cards!
