Scrapy Land Challenge #64 ~ Spring Blooms

Hello Blogging Friends!

Today is the start of a new challenge on the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog ~

Scrapy Land Challenge #64 ~ Spring Blooms

The theme for this challenge is Spring Blooms plus use any brand of low profile or steel ruled die that Scrapy Land sells.

Here is my card for this challenge:

Ingredients:

Cheery Lynn Designs Pair of Ferns die
Nuvo Crystal Drops Golden Sunset
Inspired by Stamping Spring Lilacs 6 x 6 paper
Assorted paper from my stash
Recollections Purple Flowers
Kraft card stock
Brown ink
Black marker
Black gem
White pen

For this A2 card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of this card.  I took a piece of paper from the Inspired by Stamping Spring Lilacs paper, inked the edges with Brown in and attached that to the card. Next I took the Memory Box Snowflake Bird die and cut it out with White, Yellow and Black paper.

I wanted to show you that with a little imagination you can stretch your winter dies and use them for Spring or Summer too.

I placed the White outline of the Memory Box Snowflake Bird onto the card and then I added the black piece to his tail and the yellow part of his body.  I took a black marker and colored his head and wing.  I used my White pen to accent his wing.  See I want him to look like a Goldfinch!  I just love when they fly into my yard!  I took some of the Recollections Purple Flowers and glued them over the snowflakes and added some Nuvo Crystal Drops Golden Sunset and put dots in the middle of the flowers.  I cut out the Cheery Lynn Designs Pair of Ferns die with Green paper and added that to the card.  I cut out some more White paper with the one of the ferns from the Tattered Lace Ferns die set and added that to the top of the card.

Please be sure to check out all the wonderful projects created by the Scrapy Land Design Team for the Scrapy Land Challenge #64!
