Guest Designer at Joy Clair

**This is one of two posts I have today, if you are looking for the DL.ART Thankful Thursday Challenge #186 please go here.**

Hello Blogging Buddies,

Today I have the honor of being a guest designer on the Joy Clair Blog.  For my projects I decided to use the Hugs and Smiles stamp set.

Here are my cards:

I made two cards with the beautiful floral stamp and I colored them differently.

For this card:

I stamped the flowers with VersaMark onto a piece of Tim Holtz 4.25 x 5.5 Distress Watercolor card stock, then heat embossed it with black embossing powder. Then I colored the flowers with watercolor pencils.  Next I took my Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two and cut the edge and then I inked the edges with Picked Raspberry distress ink.  Next I used white card stock for the base of my A2 card and added a piece of patterned paper to the base and then I added the flowers to the corner of the card and then took the hugs & kisses stamps from the same set and stamped them with black ink onto the card.

For this card:

I used the Tim Holtz 4.25 x 5.5 Distress Watercolor card stock again and I stamped the flowers in each corner with VersaMark and then heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  Then I took my distress inks, Milled Lavender, Seedless Grape, Picked Raspberry, Victorian Velvet, Tumbled Glass and Broken China and colored in the flowers by rubbing the ink over the flowers with a dauber, then I inked the background with Tumbled Glass distress ink.  Then I cut the card stock in half using the Spellbinder Scalloped Borders Two and then I inked the cut edge with Broken China Distress ink.  I trimmed off a tiny bit of the edge and attached it to the card base leaving the white showing in the middle of the card.  You could also turn the card sideways and use it like this:

I can't decide which way I like it better!  How do you like this card better?

I hope I have inspired you to create something pretty today.

Be sure to stop by the Joy Clair Blog often for more creative ideas on how to use their gorgeous stamps!

Thanks for stopping by!
