Gecko Happy Birthday

Hello Blogging Buddies,

Happy 2016!

I am looking forward to a very crafty New Year!  I hope you will follow along my blog and let me know what you think of my creations!  I appreciate all of you and love to read all of your gracious comments!

Today it is my turn on the Die-Versions Blog and I am featuring the new Whispers Southwestern Gecko die and the Whispers Western Sun die on my Birthday card.

Ingredients:

Die-Versions Sweet Wordlets Happy and Birthday
Light gray card stock
various papers from my stash
Black and White Bakers Twine

For this A2 card I started with a light gray card stock for the base of my card.  Next I placed the chevron paper onto the base.  I die cut the Whispers Western Sun die in orange and yellow and inlaid the orange pieces in the yellow sun and added that to the card.  Next I cut out the Whispers Southwestern Gecko die in green patterned paper and dark blue paper and inlaid the dark blue pieces inside the green patterned paper gecko and then added him to a blue square.  I inked the edges of the blue square with black ink and added that to a dark gray square and inked the edges with black ink and placed that on the card. Then I cut out the Sweet Wordlets Happy and Birthday in the same orange paper as in the inlays on the sun and attached that to the top right of the card.  Lastly I tied some black and white bakers twine around the left hand side of the card.  I am really loving this cute little gecko and the adorable sun dies!

I hope I have inspired you to create something fun today!

Thanks for stopping by!
