Joy Clair Christmas Cocoa

Hello Blogging Friends,

It is my turn on the Joy Clair Blog today and my last post as a Joy Clair Design Team Member!  I have had a wonderful time working on this Design Team, the owners of the company are so awesome, the designers are all so talented and I really LOVE the beautiful stamp sets!  I will miss working with all of them, but I will still stop by now and then to see  whats new over at Joy Clair!!

For my cards today I used the newly released Joy Clair Christmas Cocoa stamp set:

Here is my first card:

For this A2 card I started with White card stock for the base of the card.  I took the Black snowflake paper and attached that to the card base. I took the polka dot paper and cut that 1 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches and attached that to the card after inking the edges with Sage Green distress ink.  I took a piece of white paper and stamped the cup onto the paper and then colored it in with a green Copic marker.  I stamped the snowflake onto the middle of the cup with Versamark and then heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder.  I took DecoArt Snow Writer and added the whipped cream to the cup of cocoa. I cut out the red heart with a heart punch and stamped the sentiment onto the center of the heart with black ink and added that to the card.  I took some Red paper and cut out the frame die and placed that around the cup of cocoa and then added that to the card. I took some red and white bakers twine and added that to the card.  I then took some more of the Sage Green distress ink and inked all around the edges of the card.

Here is my second card:

For this A2 card I started with Kraft card stock for the base of the card.  I then cut out a piece of white paper and took the Snowflake embossing folder and ran that through my big shot.  I then stamped the cup onto white paper with black ink and then colored in the cup with Copic markers and then fussy cut it out and then I stamped the heart onto some more white paper with black ink, colored in the heart with a pink Copic marker and fussy cut it out and added that to the center of the cup and I placed the cup right in the middle of the big embossed snowflake.  I inked the edges with red ink and then added that to the card.  I took the sentiments and some black ink and stamped Santa loves on the top left hand corner of the card.  I stamped the Christmas Cocoa with black ink right in under the snowflake.  I stamped out the candy canes with red ink, fussy cut them out and added them to the cup.  I stamped the marshmallow with black ink onto some with paper and fussy cut it out and added that to the cup because we all know that Santa likes his cocoa with candy canes and marshmallows!!  Lastly I took some red, green and white bakers twine and wrapped that around the card several times and then tied it in a knot.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh, these definitely hit the spot, Lori, as I sit here dressed in heavy duty sweats and a sweater, wishing my hot coffee was done brewing! Love the big embossed snowflake.
